Think about what we talked about yesterday (healthcare, education, access to resources, the CRAP, etc.). 4 The big picture… DEVELOPMENT IS the process of making peoples’ lives better – through the diffusion of technology and knowledge. DEVELOPMENT IS MEASURED by the UN’s Human Development Index (HDI), which considers development to be a function of three factors: (1.) a decent standard of living; (2.) a long and healthy life; and (3.) access to knowledge.
