When comparing and contrasting two poems, it is important to start asking questions! What is the main difference you see in the poems? Is the difference in the imagery? Diction? Similes? Metaphors?

Despite these similarities, “The Chimney Sweeper” from Songs of Innocence uses diction to support the idea that children who do all of their work go to heaven.
