Culture Week 2016 Culture Week is an opportunity to celebrate the diversity of ISB’s multicultural student community! During this annual event, students have the chance to hear from parents, teachers, other students, and friends about their cultural and international experiences, including workshops about: music, dance, food and art from other cultures what it’s like to travel to, live or work in another country growing up in another culture and moving to the U.S. Our theme this year is human migration. Activities will include a key note speaker and an international assembly on Monday, discussions about ancestry in Tuesday advisory, discussions about immigration in humanities classes, cultural/international speakers and activity sessions on Wednesday and Thursday mornings and cultural dress day and international night on Friday.

There are also slots for High School students. This year, instead of just raising money during lunchtime, we are going to do a Flash Mob (at International Night at ISB, and other locations) to help raise awareness about the challenging issues facing migrants around the world. We hope that in addition to raising awareness, our Flash Mob dance will inspire donations to Mercy Corps, our keynote speaker!
