Lamp Features and Specifications
Lamp Life – Average lifetime (usually in hours) of the lamp Wattage – Electrical Power that the Lamp consumes (Unit: Watts - duh!) Voltage – Rated Voltage to be used at. Usually incandescent/halogen lamps can run on either AC or DC. Do NOT Exceed the rated voltage. Benjamin W. Kidd - ENGR-162/12

Base Types Different Lamps use different types of bases. It is important to know which one you want. The “Medium” base is the most common, used in most residential Incandescent fixtures. Benjamin W. Kidd - ENGR-162/12

Fusing the Dimmer It is important to fuse the dimmer to protect against overloads and short circuits. To properly size the fuse, you need to know the power rating of the dimmer. Then use P = V x I to calculate the fuse amperage. 600W/120V = 5A Benjamin W. Kidd - ENGR-162/12
