3 The Oracle Cloud Transformation Program - «OCToPus»
Wind Retail ERP Last year we launched the OCToPus program with the ambition to merge two complex ecosystems of ERP legacy systems into a single cloud platform, with one vendor and common processes... ... in 18 months Revenue Recognition Account Receivables Slide 2 – Context and objectives of the Octopus Program – 2’ The program started in 2017 with the objective of consolidating the existing ERP landscape, The ambition is to consolidate everything into a single Cloud based Platform, from one vendor, with the adoption of a SaaS solution The name chosen for this program is OCToPus (Oracle Cloud Transformation Program), giving the idea of the articulation and impacts on all the surrounding systems. The key strategic objectives of Cloud Adoption are: Enterprise process harmonization and a more efficient way of working (simplification) Out of the Box functionalities aligned to modern best practices (SaaS) Continuous Innovation with Up to Date applications Collection Procurement Commissioning

4 The Starting Point: two Different Ways of Working, to be Harmonized, in the middle of the Digital Transformation Adopt, Simplify, Integrate An ecosystem made of over 70 legacy systems with a mix of multiple vendors, products and highly customized solutions, based on different business processes. Slide 3 - The starting point was the merger of the 2 companies and the need to have a common way of working (tools and processes). The broader context is the digital transformation of the Company involving the entire BSS stack. It was an ecosystem made of xx systems of “Wind” and yy systems of “3”, with a mix of multi-vendor products and highly customized solutions. 5 An Agile Approach to Manage such a Big Complexity
In a highly complex environment we have adopted an agile approach for delivery Small launches based on MVPs Cooperation in teams with all BUs involved Slide 3 – Scope of the Program and drivers of the complexity: 5’ The level of complexity was the highest possible, with a number of variables to be manged: - Decommissioning of legacy platforms to be migrated into a new Cloud Based solution A new Digital BSS stack (CRM, Billing, ..) and a Global ERP instance (Group level) to be integrated Both Consumer and Business segments and multiple stakeholders involved, internal (Finance, Consumer and Business BUs, Operations, GSI, ...) and External (Partners, dealers, ...) To handle this complexity, we choose an agile approach with close cooperation with all the Bus, daily alignment on progress, small lauches based on MVPs to anticipate the achievement of the business benefits and reduce risks. 6 Achieving Simplification and Efficiency is Key in ERP Programs
Cloud Adoption means easy access to many innovative features and modern processes,which are enablers for simplification... Slide 4 - Benefits of Cloud Adoption Program (realized and expected) – 3’ Achieving simplification and efficiency is key in ERP programs also to reduce TCO Adopting Cloud based solution, compared to legacy on premise solution, means : - standardization of the way of working and adoption of modern best practices Streamlined IT architecture, decommissioning of legacy, reduced IT footprint  lower O&M effort (also due to SaaS) Access to new features with no need for continuous upgrades. Also opens the way towards innovative capabilities: Zero touch / Autonomous Ops, Embedded AI capabilities, more data and insights to enable predictive approach But in order to achieve these benefits, you have to keep customizations under control, manage the change and have a strong Design Authority in place to avoid strong deviations from standards and best practices ... but you also need a strong Design Authority to minimize the asks for customizations and deviations from standards

7 With some Challenges to be Managed

Few of them are known since the beginning (complex legacy environment, many stakeholders to be involved, external dependencies), others can be discovered only along the way (changing regulations, changing priorities on business side, synchronization with other ongoing programs). 8 Oracle: the Right Solution, with Commitment on the Delivery
We thought Oracle was the right partner for this journey because of... Slide 5 – Why in the Cloud. Why with Oracle – 3’ Which are the main factors that drove the decision to adopt Oracle Cloud solution and to engage Oracle as partner for the end to end Transformation program: “One Oracle” approach, having Oracle Consulting and Cloud Adoption Services onboard Broadness of Oracle Cloud solutions and coverage of the required capabilities Oracle’s know how and experience Oracle’s willingness to take commitment on e2e results in a complex environment. But also why not Oracle....Knowledge is in US, Expensive, Complex Organisation to find right people, One engineer One lawyer for free with it...  ...the combination of Product and Service capabilities ...the commitment on delivering business outcomes ...the ability to support the change But there is also more than that...

9 Focus on Outcomes, Ability to change and a Strong Sponsorship

To overcome the challenges It is key to have a flexible approach, to be ready to adapt to a changing environment, to rely on a partner able to follow you along the entire journey. Flexibility to adapt to a changing context, continuous commitment to deliver value to business users, involvement of all stakeholders and executive sponsorship are key elements for succeeding in such initiatives. 1) program manager that knows yur organisation and speaks the language. 2) part of bigger contract that helps in getting deal sponsored and approved. 3) break down the elephant 4) get OCS to deliver. 5) Strong internal DA. 6) Strong Bu sponsorship(exec level) Agile cooperation: small steps to reach a big goal Best technology to support easy adoption

10 Results Achieved so far
Revenue Management delivered in production in 4 months with a stand-alone setup. Procurement Cloud delivered in production in 9 months. Slide 8 - The results achieved so far: 3’ Time required to go live with the first stream Number of streams live with the first wave according to the plan Level of satisfaction of the end users and acceptance of the change % of benefits already achieved before the end of the program .... Fusion Incentive & Compensation delivered in production in 11 months to swap one of the two legacy commissioning systems Account Receivable delivered in production in 6 months for eCommerce and Teleseller, as a pilot for a multi-drop transformation project.
