Democratic Reforms: Initiative – citizens have the right to propose a law (propositions) Referendum – referring a bill passed by the legislature to the people (propositions) Recall – the right of the people to vote an elected official out of office. Direct Primary – citizens allowed to vote for a number of candidates running for office Do these laws coincide with what the founding fathers originally wanted for the role of U.S. government? Explain.
