3 Academic Plan Priority
1.1.3: Identify programs integral to the mission of SMSU and support the delivery of coursework in majors, minors, liberal education, and graduate education through external review, annual reviews, and the Academic Prioritization process.

4 Diversity Plan 1.1.3: Modify and re-administer the Culture Self-Assessment. Continue to determine professional development and programming opportunities.

5 Diversity at SMSU At SMSU diversity encompasses acceptance and respect. It means understanding that each individual is unique, and recognizing our individual differences.  These can be along the dimensions of race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, socio-economic status, age, physical abilities, religious beliefs, political beliefs, or other ideologies. At SMSU, explore these differences in a safe, positive, and nurturing environment. We collaborate to understand each other and move beyond simple tolerance to embracing and celebrating the rich dimensions of diversity contained within each individual.

6 Enrollment Management Plan
1.3.1: Develop a comprehensive university-wide Communication and Marketing Plan A: Implement the Student Success Plan with a specific focus and emphasis on the Academic Advising Plan.

1.5.1: Develop a plan to foster positive student engagement in campus life through student organization participation, student activities, residential life and volunteer community service, and the Civic Action Plan.

Teaching and Learning: Quality, Resources, and Support: The institution provides high quality education, wherever and however its offerings are delivered. Criterion Four. Teaching and Learning: Evaluation and Improvement: The institution demonstrates responsibility for the quality of its educational programs, learning environments, and support services, and it evaluates their effectiveness for student learning through processes designed to promote continuous improvement. Criterion Five. Resources, Planning, and Institutional Effectiveness: The institution’s resources, structures, and processes are sufficient to fulfill its mission, improve the quality of its educational offerings, and respond to future challenges and opportunities.
