You need personal hygiene and grooming on the job. Rules apply to everyone! personal hygiene – keeping one’s body clean and healthy Grooming - A neat and Attractive appearance. What is appropriate at one job may not be at every job

4 Tips to for Grooming & Appearance
Hairstyling {neat, trimmed & not too faddish} neatly brushed Shaving {clean-shave, if growing out wait for your vacation} no stubble; trim neck weekly Deodorants (for odor) & Antiperspirants (for wetness) {bathe and use regularly} Skin Care & Cosmetics {wash your face} moisturize face/hands; watch makeup colors and large amounts Posture the way you walk, stand and sit. You look lazy and lack self-confidence. Helps with people’s perception of you.

Dress for Success Clothes are important to overall appearance If you wear uniform have it clean and pressed If there is no uniform make sure you look professional (suit/slacks/jacket/tie; suit dress, slacks, blouse, sweater)

#1 Wear what fits your job Will you get greasy, dirty? Will you need protection from the sun, wind, rain, or cold? Will you be handling food? Buy clothing that is well suited for the work you will do!

Don’t try to dress like someone else. Choose clothes that match your physical features and personality. #3 Plan your wardrobe carefully. For instance, a pair of gray pants can go with just about everything. You won’t be able to buy a Wardrobe-( your clothes) at once Build outfits around 1 or 2 main items
