What are Sport Clubs? How do you define Sport Clubs?
What Department oversees Sport Clubs? Why we do what we do Where you can find us (CARL) How do you define sport clubs Sport club programs are defined by theirs values which are Accountability Teamwork Communication Independence Health Sport clubs combine the team elements of varsity athletics and the recreational atmosphere of intramural sports What Department oversees sport clubs Competitive Sports Department but the nature of the Sport Club is primarily on you, the student officers that run it Why we do what we do You do all of this because of the funding you receive from the university because it is the least you can to do to give back to them Where you can find us We are located in the rec center inside in the Sport Club Office

Who has the best team on campus?
SCORE System White-65 points-$6k funding cap Basic expectation for our clubs to meet. Blue-100 points-$10k funding cap Mid-level for recognition for more visible clubs who go beyond expectations Emerald-150 points-No funding cap Elite clubs that are highly active and engaged in the campus and surrounding communities (CARL) Score system and how to earn points SCORE is Sport Clubs Official Report of Engagement It is to recognize the effort and hard work put forth by the sport club teams and helps determine a sport club’s funding for the next fiscal year as well as earning their status as a registered sport club Three levels The cap simply indicates the most amount of money a club may receive at that level but actual funding will vary based on needs and the amount of funding available

Attending Monthly Council Meetings: 1 person minimum Attending Monthly Advisor Meetings: 1/ semester Fundraising: 10% minimum Community Service: 1 event minimum, 25% of roster Support Fellow Sport Clubs at their events: 1 event minimum, 25% of roster Collaborate Campus Programs and Events (KAT) Attendance: max of 5 Fundraising: max 50 Community Service: no max Attending Events: max of 20 Bonus Points Meeting more than once with advisor Meeting with your council advisor Collaborate with another club Have extra officers at SCC meetings Have extra CPR certified members Going to other campus events

Event Hosting Form Accident and Incident Reports Transfer and Reserve Fund Request Travel Forms Purchase Requests and Reimbursements Pink and Yellows New Member Forms Waiver and Player Conduct Emergency Contact and Concussion Edu Roster Form Coaching and Advising Forms Community Service Report CPR Verification Form Financial Reports Inventory Report (KAT) Pinks and Yellows Pinks Emergency contact and concussion edu Yellows Waiver and player conduct These forms must be submitted by the first day of practice or 9/30/ Whichever comes first If you have members joining in the spring semester, their forms must be submitted by the first day of practice or 1/27/2018. Blank copies are always available in the Sport Clubs Office Roster Form Due on 9/30/17 and 1/27/18 on Eagle Link Coaching and Advising Forms Due 9/30/17 Community Service Report Due 1/1/18 and 5/11/18 CPR Verification Form Financial Reports Inventory Report Due 5/11/2018 Marketing Request Forms Event Hosting Form Accident and Incident Reports If an accident occurs, a Sport Club officer should follow the Emergency Action Plan specific to the facility being used, which should be obtained prior to any practices/games beginning. A Sport Clubs accident report form must be submitted within one (1) business day of all accidents (form located on website & team folder). When completing an accident report form, always advise to discontinue participation and seek medical treatment from a professional. Transfer and Reserve Fund Request Travel Forms DUE AT LEAST 1 WEEK PRIOR TO DEPARTURE Purchase Requests and Reimbursements

2.“Sign In Now” 3.Username: FGCU (without @eagle.fgcu.edu) 4.Password: Your FGCU password 5.Sign in as Student Your Club should appear under “my organizations” You can search for other clubs with the “organizations” or search icon at the top of the page Updating the info about your club that prospective and current members can see Great way to upload and find transition and other important documents for future officers Communicate with officers and members of your club About Your Club Your profile includes the information that prospective club members see, contact information, and links to your club’s social media pages “Edit” your About section with info to inform new members about who you are Updating the info about your club that prospective and current members can see Documents Here is where you can find: 1.Account Tracker (to see your A&S funds for this and previous years) 2.Constitutions 3.Inventory Reports 4.Other Transitional Documents uploaded by former officers Managing your Roster You can edit which club members hold which officer positions by going to your roster tab and then clicking on “manage roster” If you have new officer roles, you can add a position title by clicking “manage positions” You can also send an invite to any officers who are not currently on your roster When adding a new position entirely, you can choose what privileges that officer will have on EagleLink When editing a member’s position, they will keep the same permissions that were assigned to that position SUBMITTING FORMS You have to click “Submit for Approval” before the Form is considered complete. Failure to hit “submit” means your form is only “in progress” and has not yet been sent to the Sport Clubs Staff.

CPR/First Aid Certifications Need 2 certs We do require a minimum number of students and/or coaches to be CPR/AED/First Aid Certified Clubs that are bolded and have an asterisk also require imPACT Concussion testing Managing an Injury Remove the athlete from play Keep the athlete out the play until a *qualified physician* gives written clearance Dancing E’Gals Lacrosse (W)** Powerlifting Swimming Tennis Ultimate Frisbee (CARL) If an accident occurs, a Sport Club officer should follow the Emergency Action Plan specific to the facility being used, which should be obtained prior to any practices/games beginning.
