Best Practices for Lessons
Introduce the skill, and ask questions about it. Define the skill, and discuss the Key words Discuss why the skill is important Identify the Skill Steps; have students repeat them Model and role-play the skill Reinforce occurrences of the skill throughout the session Correct inappropriate demonstration of the skill

Culturally Responsive Practices
Look at data to see if there is any group that is overrepresented in SAIG. Take a look at your Tier 1 system. Responsive to student need and culture What resources/practices are you using to be responsive to culture? Validate, Affirm, Build & Bridge (VABB)
