Why this Project? High levels of placement in developmental coursework – approximately 65% of our students place into at least one developmental course High failure rates in remedial classes

Initial Steps Initial Meeting with CAPR and Administration
Multiple meetings with Department Chairs in English and Math to determine cut scores Work with CAPR, IT, Admissions, Testing and IR for initial data collection and to develop the process

Challenges Missing Data – SAT/ACT/Regents scores were not in Banner – hired someone to enter Meet resistance to change from various departments – why can’t we do things the way they’ve always been done Shift in workload – who is responsible now for what?
