You can: Use your phone for taking notes, Engage in classroom online activities or in class activities. Audio Record (part of notetaking) When not involved in the above activities you devices should be stowed out of sight! Do not use your devices for: Recording people or the class without permission. Post to Social websites anything pertaining to this class. Engage in any other online activities that are not a part of or supporting your learning in this Driver Education class.

Cell phones can be used to enhance learning by having students in researching or applying classroom concepts to different situations. You even might get parents involved! Homework: Take pictures and label the car controls and instrument panel of the car you drive. Car Controls Assignment Demonstrate the Reference Points for your car at home. 11 It’ Your turn: Work in teams of two. Pick one Demonstration Card
Use one model car and a roadway to support your card. (if you have parallel parking use two cars.) Use your phone to video the steps for your situation. You have 12 minutes.

12 Cardboard camera It is a app (application) that allows your cell phone to take pictures of views 360° in virtual reality! It does take audio as well so watch what you say. It can be used with virtual reality goggles to show searching intersections and (my favorite) show how and why a blindspot

14 It is not just for entertainment!
You can save and store your edited videos. Share links with students for private viewing. Make a channel and go public with your work. Build up subscribers and viewers and get money! You Tube It is not just for entertainment!

16 And just last week! I had a student whose Father was having difficulty helping her with the Hill-start as required on the Vermont road test. She wanted to audio record it as she performed it. (Good) We video recorded it. (Better)

17 Things to remember! Cell Phones can be a useful classroom tool!
Establish an acceptable use policy. Many of the applications are Chrome, PC and Tablet friendly. Enables students to experience concepts that they may not normally encounter. Prepare students for In-vehicle lessons where they “see” beforehand LOS and POT changes. A means of Formative and Summative assessment
