Eat the correct amount to maintain a healthy body weight. Cut back on fat (especially saturated fat. Eat plenty of food with a high starch and fibre content. Don’t eat sugary foods too often. Use salt sparingly and avoid relying on convenience foods

Balance of Good Health We should aim to:
Base all meals around starchy food Include at least 5 portions of fruit and/or vegetables per day. Include 3 servings of milk /dairy foods. Eat smaller portions of meat and fish, and try alternatives such as pulses. Limit intake of foods with high fat or salt content.
