22 But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. 23 For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks intently at his natural face in a mirror. 24 For he looks at himself and goes away and at once forgets what he was like. 25 But the one who looks into the perfect law, the law of liberty, and perseveres, being no hearer who forgets but a doer who acts, he will be blessed in his doing.

26 If anyone thinks he is religious and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his heart, this person's religion is worthless. 27 Religion that is pure and undefiled before God, the Father, is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world.

If anyone wills to do His will, he shall know concerning the doctrine, whether it is from God or whether I speak on My own authority.

God expects you to obey Him according to His instructions in the gospel.
Not everyone who says to Me, ' Lord, Lord, ' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.

Pure Religion:

Provide for Own – 1 Tim 5.8, 16
But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever…
If any believing man or woman has widows, let them relieve them, and do not let the church be burdened, that it may relieve those who are really widows. 1 Tim 5.8, 16
God expects more than just obedience to the basic elements of the gospel and scriptural worship;
He expects you to practice a pure religion; more than just going through the motions.

Pure Religion:

Keep Self Pure – 1 Tim 5.22
Do not lay hands on anyone hastily, nor share in other people's sins; keep yourself pure.

God expects more than just obedience to the basic elements of the gospel and scriptural worship;
He expects you to practice a pure religion; more than just going through the motions.

Take heed to yourselves. If your brother sins against you, rebuke him; and if he repents, forgive him

Do your duty to God and to your fellow man.
