KEY CONTROLS CAN BE IMPLEMENTED TO REDUCE DROPS AND DROP-RELATED INJURIES
Key controls include:
DROP Zones – Restrict areas where there is a risk of dropped objects to minimize exposure to a potential Line of Fire.
Hazard Elimination – Remove objects from height or reduce the need to work at height.
Engineering Controls – Use suitable fixtures or fasteners to install equipment at height, and secure hand tools with lanyards.
PPE – Wear hard hats and steel toed footwear in work areas.
