I am a 4rd generation farmer from Cotton County. My father, brother and I managing 5000 acres of crop land. Almost all duel purpose wheat for grazing until last couple of year. Cowpox In 2008 sent in 4 soil samples 2 in yellow wheat and 2 in green wheat (pox) with full workup macro and micro nutrients. Soil test taken 6” and sent to lab Result no significant difference between green and yellow samples in any data.

2010 N-Rich Strip applied Mid-Nov 2009 225 lb of Urea spread
Soil test in N-Rich Strip Soil tested March 2010 Top 2” No Difference on any Nutrient Except ONE. Forward to March 2010 Cowpox in the N-Rich strip. Soil sampled 2” depth No results in any Macro or Micro nutrient date except one

N-Rich Strip . Or all three A drastic difference in N captured at the 2” level in the N-rich strip. I was surprised to see the difference and realized that the rest of my field were not showing N deficiencies because of lack of N. N was lost through volatilization, leaching, or denitrification
