4. Energy flow Food chains show energy flow between organisms.
Arrows = direction of energy flow.
Energy flow passes from producer to consumers.

Most animals eat more than 1 type of food – many food chains in ecosystem.
Food web = a group of food chains connected together.
Indicates different foods eaten by different animals.
Shows how plants and animals in a community are linked.
