3. So… What Is A DBQ? Document-Based Questions
You will read and analyze historical records, gather information from many documents, and fill in short response questions.
You will then write an essay by using information from the documents by citing them. The essay you will be writing about is entitled: Why Did Islam Spread So Quickly?
DBQs will help you compare and contrast issues from different views, evaluate the strength of particular arguments, provide high-level thinking opportunities, and develop life skills.
