2 TNM Solid Tumors T- size of tumor: (0-4) the larger, the higher
N- lymph nodes nearby: (0-3) the more affected, the higher M- extent of metastasis: 0-not metastasized 1- metastasized

3 Stage 0 Carcinoma in situ group of abnormal cells
debate as to whether it is cancer or not depends on location

4 Stage I Small tumor Has not spread to lymph nodes or other parts
Has not grown deeply into tissues

5 Stage II Tumor is larger in size
Tumor has spread to nearby lymph nodes Tumor has grown deeper into tissues NO METASTASIS to other organs

6 Stage III Tumor larger in size
Tumor has spread to lymph nodes above and below diaphragm Tumor has spread deeper into tissue NO METASTASIS to other organs

7 Stage IV Tumor larger in size Tumor has spread to lymph nodes
Tumor has spread deeper into tissue Metastasis

8 Treatment Plans Stage 0 and 1-surgery
Stage II, III, IV-chemo, radiation, surgery

9 Gleason Scale Some scales consider growth patterns and differentiation
Gleason Scale-prostate cancer considers how much the cells look like one another/ normal cells Higher the score, the worse the prognosis
