It can involve either basic or applied studies in the broad areas of physical, organic, analytical, inorganic, or biochemistry. Understanding chemistry is fundamental to understanding the physical world around us. Why Professional Option? This program of study is approved by the American Chemistry Society, and it is recommended for those who plan to become professional chemists.
