4 How Step Up! Works Employees download the free Sport Relief app and join your firm team via the link we send you They log the maximum steps a day for a month between Friday 23rd February and Friday 23rd March They can track their own and your firm’s overall progress in the app league table Win the league by being the firm with the highest daily average step count Winners of the league receive a celebrity visit

5 Challenges & Celebrity Content
Employees can participate in several different challenges – from climbing Kilimanjaro to walking to the Arc du Triomphe to increase their step count The app will be regularly updated with unique celebrity workout tips and we’ll send motivational messages when employees reach their targets There will be a message board where your employees can interact with each other and we can also post content written by you

6 Team The app offers your employees a branded user journey as part of a team (image is an example of the Sainsbury’s page) We can work with you to design a tailored welcome message and motivational content Steppers can see their position in the firm league table and also how performance compares to other firms in the league Engagement can be driven by advertising your league position in the staffroom or on a weekly update eg. We are beating Tesco by 2,000 steps! 6

7 How to Fundraise Employees fundraise individually through sponsorship for doing their steps and/ or giving individual donations Company Matched Funding is encouraged! Target employee participation of people per firm Target fundraising of £10,000 We create a branded, dedicated corporate giving page so you can track your collective fundraising progress Our Sport Relief fundraising team is on hand to help with other fundraising ideas to reach your target and increase company step average

8 Benefits: Employee Health & Morale
‘Participation in regular physical activity can increase self-esteem and reduce stress and anxiety. Physical activity can help play a role in preventing mental health problems and improve the quality of life of those experiencing it. For example, there is an approximately 20–30% lower risk for depression’¹ Wellbeing: Increased levels of movement directly correlates to better health and improved work performance amongst employees The app encourages good habits that could persist after the challenge ends, reinforcing company commitment to wellness Inclusive: All fitness levels can take part Wheelchair users can participate Syncs easily with existing tracker apps (Fitbit, Jawbone etc.) Teamwork The whole firm can participate, improving connections and building morale Motivation: A group challenge against rival firms can stimulate healthy competition and motivation ¹Mental Health Foundation, ‘Let’s Get Physical’ Report, 2013
