April 14th
6:00 Carpools meet at Monroe Park and Ride (opt)
8:00 Class will gather at the Icicle Creek Center for the Arts
8:30 Class will leave for the Sam Hill
9:00 Class will convene at the “Fridge” and depart for courses

Preparation
Dress and Pack for the weather
Dress for periods of exertion and pauses
Bring mountaineering boots
Use this as a chance to try out scramble food
Bring - Helmet, harness, locking carabiner, cordelette

Site Considerations
Practice Leave no Trace and Pack It Out (blue bags required)
Minimum impact Travel
Stay on existing Trails
Travel on Rock when possible
Safety
Helmets will be worn once on rock
All moves on rock should be spotted
Watch for loose rock
Watch for traffic on the road (Rock Climbers are crazy drivers)

Car Pool
Car pools are recommended from Monroe (not a requirement)
Will use groupcarpool.com to facilitate the optional car pools to and from Monroe Park and Ride.
Car pools needed from ICCA to Sam Hill due to limited parking

Meet for food and refreshment afterward at Gustav’s
Meet at the 8 Mile Camp Ground to spend Sat. night
Sunday
Hiking anywhere around Icicle.
Chatter Creek
Snow Creek Wall
Icicle Ridge
Etc.
Snow Shoes suggested if planning to travel high
Note: Some folks will be spending Friday at 8 Mile Camp Ground
