Introduces participants to important Irish and International official statistics that help them better understand the structures and trends in the economy and society of Ireland and the EU.
It is taught by professional statisticians from CSO and policy specialists from the IPA
Mandatory for all Statisticians grades in the CSO

3. What is the Professional Diploma in Official Statistics for Policy Evaluation?
A unique feature of the course is the emphasis on data sources in a live policy context. (The regular data-labs deal with live data).
The professional Diploma is provided on a non-profit basis and offered at low cost to students.
It is delivered through blended learning (mix of classes and distance education) .
