The goal of karma yoga and sacred service is to transform all of life into continuous contemplative practice This has been expressed as: “Every moment Zen” “Transform all of life into an uninterrupted yoga” (Aurobindo) “Be constant in prayer” (The Koran) “Pray without ceasing” (The Christian St. Paul and the Hindu Ramakrishna)

2 DEDICATE OR OFFER YOUR ACTIVITY
Dedicate or offer the activity and its outcome to God, a higher Source, or a transpersonal purpose.

Ask yourself: “What is this for?”
3 SET AN INTENTION Ask yourself: “What is this for?”

Attempt to do the activity as impeccably as you can.
4 IMPECCABILITY Attempt to do the activity as impeccably as you can.

5 BE MINDFUL Bring as much awareness to the activity as you can
eg: your actions, mental state & motivation, other people, their reactions, and your “fluid appropriateness” to the moment

6 EXPLORE YOUR REACTIONS
Explore and work with any reactions that arise such as: Psychological blocks eg: unworthiness Reactions to other people eg: anger, jealousy Reactivity about how it will turn out eg: anxiety, hope Egoic appropriation, spiritual materialism eg: embarrassment, pride

Identify and release attachments, especially to the outcome

8 STOP At the completion of your activity STOP!

9 REFLECT AND LEARN What can you learn from your experience?
For example, about: Doing the activity effectively Yourself and your mind Your attachments and aversions

of the activity and your practice to the welfare and awakening of all.
10 OFFER THE BENEFITS Offer the benefits of the activity and your practice to the welfare and awakening of all. What we intend for others, we tend to experience and strengthen in ourselves
