2. Pain and trials are normal for followers of Jesus
Simply because we are ‘strangers’
Simply because they are just normal in everyday life
Trials cause ‘grief’
The antidote to grief is our inheritance
‘In all this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials.  1 Peter 1:1
