Revive Me, O Lord! Psalm 119:153-160
Revive: “to flourish anew, renewal, revitalizing, reinvigorating, rescue from trouble.” Revive Me, O Lord! Scripture Reading: Psa. 119: (READ) Click to bring up definition (Revive: “To flourish anew, renewal, revitalizing, reinvigorating, rescue from trouble) (Psalm 143:11), “Revive me, O Lord, for Your name's sake! For Your righteousness' sake bring my soul out of trouble.” We are warned not to grow weary and faint (Galatians 6:9), “And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.” Note: THE LORD IS THE ONLY VALID SOURCE OF SPIRITUAL REVIVAL (Psalm 138:7-8), “Though I walk in the midst of trouble, You will revive me; You will stretch out Your hand against the wrath of my enemies, and Your right hand will save me. 8 The Lord will perfect that which concerns me; Your mercy, O Lord, endures forever; do not forsake the works of Your hands.” Psalm 119:

God can & will Revive us! According to His Word (154, 25, 107, 37) (Acts 10:2,22) (Psalm 119:154), “Plead my cause and redeem me; Revive me according to Your word.” (Psalm 119:25), “My soul clings to the dust; Revive me according to Your word.” (Psalm 119:107), “I am afflicted very much; Revive me, O Lord, according to Your word.” (Psalm 119:37), “Turn away my eyes from looking at worthless things, and revive me in Your way.” Cornelius as an example (Acts 10:2), “a devout man and one who feared God with all his household, who gave alms generously to the people, and prayed to God always.” (Acts 10:22), [Messengers to Peter] “And they said, "Cornelius the centurion, a just man, one who fears God and has a good reputation among all the nation of the Jews, was divinely instructed by a holy angel to summon you to his house, and to hear words from you."

God can & will Revive us! According to His Word (154, 25, 107, 37) (Acts 10:2,22) According to His Judgments (156, 40, 149) (Hebrews 4:12-13) (Psalm 119:156), “Great are Your tender mercies, O Lord; Revive me according to Your judgments.” (Psalm 119:40), “Behold, I long for Your precepts; Revive me in Your righteousness.” (Psalm 119:149), “Hear my voice according to Your lovingkindness; O Lord, revive me according to Your justice.” (Hebrews 4:12-13), “For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two- edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. 13 And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.”

God can & will Revive us! According to His Word (154, 25, 107, 37) (Acts 10:2,22) According to His Judgments (156, 40, 149) (Hebrews 4:12-13) According to His Mercy (159, 88) (Titus 3:4-5) (Psalm 119:159), “Consider how I love Your precepts; Revive me, O Lord, according to Your lovingkindness.” (Psalm 119:88), “Revive me according to Your lovingkindness, so that I may keep the testimony of Your mouth.” (Titus 3:4-5), “But when the kindness and the love of God our Savior toward man appeared, 5 not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit.”

Our Part: Respond in Faith!
TO BE REVIVED, WE MUST: Respond in Faith to God’s Grace (Ephesians 2:8), “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God.” (Acts 3:19), “Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord.” Conclusion 1. God longs to give life to our dead souls by the Prince of Life 2. God revives the weary soul that is burdened with care, trouble, trials, ailments and enemies Come to Jesus! (Ephesians 2:8; Acts 3:19)
