Professional Development Leadership Academies Networking opportunities Educational Activities Educational Symposiums knowledge and skill demonstration Delegate Assembly – state voting privileges National Recognition Leadership Academies State Officers – 8 hours of leadership training held prior to NLC New Advisors – 4 hours of training during NLC Students – 4 hours of training during NLC Educational Symposiums –approximately 15 sessions; usually health care specific Demonstration of knowledge and skills through a comprehensive competitive events program Voting Delegates – state representation based on annual membership select executive council / national officers vote on bylaw changes/revisions select annual theme select national service project National Recognition – Friday evening General Session Outstanding HOSA Chapter Outstanding HOSA Member Chapter Newsletter National Recognition Program Advisor Recognition State membership, recognitions Chapter recognitions Scholarships Service Project recognition

8 NLC Decision Process appealing site/dates for 4250+ delegates
willing state sponsor, judges, speakers entertainment park, airline access general session facilities for 5,000 front & rear screen projection pyrotechnics & laser projection 1800 sleeping rooms per night (1500 t/q) 8,000 total rooms at “reasonable rates” 60+ breakout rooms for CE + skill sites 4250 is the break even registration number

18 members / 3-year terms 14 states represented 275 years of HOSA experience Director / Co-Director Category Chairs & Lieutenants Meetings – twice a year Usually the first Friday in January Prior to NLC
