Dave: "Those don't count. Like I said, you're a priest, so you have to say that abortion is wrong. Further, you are just a lackey to the Pope, so I can't believe what you say."

Explanation Dave is attacking bill because he is a priest rather than the argument he uses to support the fact that abortion is wrong. Dave says that he has to believe that because he is a priest.

Explanation Proctor is asking Abigail how she could possibly be calling on Heaven because he considers a whore. He is attacking the fact that he believes she’s a whore rather than her calling upon Heaven.

Explanation Proctor attacks Abigail because of her accusation of laughing during prayer and uses that to support his argument of her being a witch. Danforth immediately reacts to this and judges the fact that she was laughing during prayer rather than them actually accusing her of witchcraft.
