2. Entitlements
Retirees/Involuntary Separtees (Over 8 years of service w/ Sep Pay)
Storage and Shipment for up to 1 year
Travel must be completed within 1 year of retirement
CONUS, OCONUS location at which TSM resided prior to Active Duty, or where initially called to Active Duty
Allowed continued use of base housing for up to 180 based on availability (Invol Sep Only)
Separtees
Storage and Shipment for up to 180 days
HHG shipped to location at which Separation pay was collected.

Allows members to break a lease when…
Going into Active Duty if lease was signed prior to Active Duty.
Upon receipt of PCS (Permanent Change of Station) orders.
Upon receipt of orders to deploy for a period of no less than 90 days.

4. Making use of the SCRA...
Service member must provide a copy of orders or deployment letter and request in writing to terminate lease or rental agreement to the landlord.
The earliest termination date of a lease is 30 days after the next payment is due.
Example : TSM notifies landlord of intentions (orders provided) on September 23. If rent is due on the 1st of every month, the earliest termination date will be November 1st.
