❶ Start by selecting the MEPS – area where the motor will be placed. Option ‘Not applicable’ also available. ❷ You will get default voltage and frequency – other options if available from dropdown box. ❸ Make further filtering according to your request – select pole number of output – results will be shown below. ❹ You can also search directly with motor type or product code. ❺ Choose motors and add them to ‘My motors’. Please note data and curve documents are found from Summary and export tab. Use trash bin to empty your selections. ❻ Remember always to press ‘RESET FILTERS’ when you want to start from beginning. ❼ Use plus and minus signs to easily open and close different parts of the tool. © ABB | BU Motors and Generators – Optimizer quick user guide June Slide 1

2 ❶ There are default values added for settings, you can easily edit these if wanted.
❷ Select motor for comparison from the selection you made under ‘Find motors’. ❸ If you have selected a motor with lower efficiency class and ABB has a higher efficiency alternative you will get a tip to select that one for comparison. ❹ Select either another selected motor (same output) or type in data yourself from any motor. ❺ Type in motor prices. ❻ You will see as result lifecycle savings, payback period and greenhouse gases. ❼ Find here basic information about Cost of Ownership. © ABB | BU Motors and Generators November 13, Slide 2

3 ❶ General documents = documents for the motor range & Motor specific documents eg drawings, test reports. ❷ Select motor you selected from ‘My motors’ and you will get documents. Select category allows you to select the document type you are interested in. ❸ You can either open the document directly from here or add to ‘My documents’ to collect these into a zip-file. © ABB | BU Motors and Generators November 13, Slide 3

4 ❶ Fill in Customer name and reference if you want those to be printed into the Data sheet.
❷ You can still delete documents from your selections by taking the tick mark out. You can always go back to other tab pages and add documents, data sheets. ❸ You can open the documents directly from this page or collect the selected documents into one zip-file.
