Homework on Climate change
Climate Change causes Natural- Orbital changes so sometimes we are closer to the sun. Volcanic eruption and the ash blocks out the sun. Volcanic activity can block out the sun, reducing temperatures on the earth. This tends to be a short-term impact. The fine droplets that result from conversion of sulphur dioxide to sulphuric acid act like tiny mirrors reflecting radiation from the sun, this can last much longer. Human- Deforestation as trees take in CO2 so less trees means less CO2 can be taken out of the atmosphere. Pollution from cars creating and enhancing Greenhouses gases. Farming increase methane, a greenhouse gas. Climate Change Mitigation Planting trees. Carbon capture which will then store the CO2 so it will not be realised into the atmosphere. International agreements- Paris countries signed a deal to reduce climate change. Managing sea rises in places like Maldives. Homework on Climate change Go through and highlight important information. Produce a revision card on the outline. Answer the Exam question Climate Change effects Causes the sun’s rays to be trapped in the atmosphere and this causes an increase in temperature. Land ice is melting which will increase sea levels by 60-70m so there will be mass flooding of coastal and low land areas.
