Alliteration is a form of figurative language and is a stylistic device in which a number of words – having the same first consonant sound – occur close together in a series Some say it’s a tongue twister.

So, she bought a bit of butter, Better than her bitter butter, And she put it in her batter, And the batter was not bitter. So, 'twas better Betty Botter, Bought a bit of better butter.
