PEER ASSESSMENT Swap your sketchbook with another person who is on the same differentiation level as you. 3 minutes Assessment Criteria: Creative and original designs (each one different) Good use of features Good use of tribal patterns/markings Good colour scheme (no more than 4 used) Good tone with the colour (they look 3D) Look at their 3 design ideas work. Using your personal judgement, assess this work using the criteria opposite. Give a positive comment or some advice for improvement on the progression sheet in the back of their book.

2 minutes SELF-ASSESSMENT Give your feedback to your partner and receive feedback on your designs. Learning Objectives You will:
Learn to identify the successful areas of your designs in order to produce a refined final design. Learn to create a small 3D maquette of your final colour design. Develop your 3D making skills. You develop your ability to generate a 3D colour design in pencil crayon. You gain an ability to make a small 3D model of your final design using basic 3D sculpture materials.

Final Design On the next right hand sketchbook page you need to:

INSTRUCTIONS Remember to follow these steps:
20 minutes Remember to follow these steps: Have your final design open to work from. Draw the outline of the mask onto a piece of cardboard and cut it out. Build up the 3D shape and facial features using screwed up newspaper and selotape. Use the PVA glue/water mix to add a layer of tissue paper over the entire mask. 7

5 minutes Turn to the back of your sketchbook, look at the learning objectives from the start of the lesson, tick each statement to indicate how confident you feel you have met each one (fully, partially, not at all).
