1 Reitmans (Canada) Limited – Prophix story
Operating since: 1926 Head office: Montreal, Quebec, Canada Annual revenue: > $1 billion Number of employees: Unknown (operates 968 stores) G/L or ERP: Oracle Website: Company background: Reitmans (Canada) Limited, a household name in Canadian retail, was founded in 1926 by Herman and Sarah Reitman, in Montreal. Today, they have over 900 stores organized into six Banners - Reitmans, Smart Set, R.W. & Company, Thyme Maternity, Penningtons and Addition-Elle. The company operates stores in every province and territory in Canada. About the deal: This is a win over Oracle (and they are an Oracle shop) and Vena! Prophix was selected because it provided a combination of ease-of-use (we were selected directly by the end users, the Banner Managers, not just Finance) as well as offering a comprehensive solution that could meet their current and future goals.

2 Reitmans (Canada) Limited – Prophix story
About the deployment: In this first phase of the deployment, Reitmans will use Prophix for expense budgeting and planning. This process is relatively complex as each Banner is responsible for planning their own direct expense budgets – some at a Banner level and some at a store level. In addition each of the six Banners receives an allocated portion of various indirect expenses and overhead via a range of allocation methodologies. These combined expenses are then allocated out to the individual stores. Industry-specific key business drivers evaluated: Reitmans will also be using Prophix to plan Personnel related expenses, by individual employee for corporate employees and by position types for store staffing. Future plans: Reitmans has future goals of rolling Prophix out for more Financial Reporting as well as more detailed Operational Planning. For example, detailed project based Capital Expenditure planning for store openings and renovations. (Please attach further relevant materials)
