4 Discover Your Purpose Destiny The preplanned path of God for your life, in which He has designed and deposited gifts & talents to help you fulfill you purpose. 6 Discover Your Purpose Contains three elements (Jer. 1:5) Destiny
Identity: Who Am I? Purpose: Why Am I? Assignment: Where Am I to Be? The objective of this class is to help you answer these three questions. Destiny begins in the will of God Destiny is not a matter of chance, but a matter of choice Destiny is rarely in the comfort zone – if it is its momentarily. (STRETCH) If you don’t have a sense of destiny, you will have a sense of confusion in life

Your identity reveals your uniqueness Your enemy’s first line of attack will be on your identity (Gen 3) You will never know your true identity until you find your identity in Christ Identity brings you confidence If you know who you are you will know what you can do You will know whose you are you know whats backing you Your identity reveals your uniqueness Never try to blend in, in order to fit in. Your difference is what makes you special Your enemy’s first line of attack will always be on your identity (Gen 3) You will never know your true identity until you find your identity in Christ

Everything God created was created with purpose. The purpose of a thing is fulfilled when it benefits something outside of itself. Mankind has a general purpose; every man has a specific purpose. Your purpose begins in the will of God. (Jer 29:11) 1. General Purpose: Fellowship through Prayer, Praise, & Worship. 2. Every man was created with a Specific Purpose: Jeremiah 1:5 3. Purpose is the only true source of individual and corporate fulfillment. 4. Purpose is discovered not chosen: PRINCIPLES 1. Everything God created was created for a purpose. 2. The purpose of a thing is fulfilled when it benefits something outside of itself. 3. Purpose begins in the will of God (Jer. 29:11). 4. To know the purpose of a thing, you must go the mind of its creator. 5. The creator of a thing has exclusive rights to determine its purpose; the possessor of a thing has the authority to determine it use. 6. To understand your purpose you must read the instructions. 7. Where purpose is unknown, abuse is inevitable. 8. Improper use of a thing shortens the lifespan of that thing. 9. The key to knowing your specific purpose is found in your God given passion

The creator of a thing has exclusive rights to determine its purpose; the possessor of a thing has the authority to determine it use. Where purpose is not known abuse is inevitable. The improper use of a thing shortens the lifespan of that thing. Your purpose is to be discovered, not chosen. 1. Your purpose is instinctive In the right environment it flows; in the wrong environment it must be discerned The apparatus for discerning your purpose is you heart Ducks, salmon, etc 5. God does not change His mind about your purpose (Rom 11:29 AMP) 6. There is provision for every purpose The provision needs a vision to activate it (Pro. 29:11)

Your assignment is to a people, place, or a cause. God may change your assignment, but never your purpose. To get you assignment you must learn to discern the voice of God. Gideon was to lead the people Nehemiah was to build the wall Elijah was to root out idle worship Assignments are like roles, they may change but not purpose. (Butcher’s knife or murder weapon?)
