Students must add teachers on Naviance Student. If teachers are not added, they will be unable to upload to the student account!!!!! Encourage student to THANK their recommender and keep them posted with decisions!! Keep in mind that the schools have limits to what they will take. APPLICATION Applications are found online. They are either available through the school’s website or the school uses the Common Application. The application, associated application fee, essays, etc. all need to be completed by the student. Encourage your student to use a computer and not a mobile device. Encourage your student to allow an adult to review their application and essay(s). Please do not complete applications for your child!!!!
17
COMMON APPLICATION Used to submit over 4 million applications / more than 1 million students Link on most college websites, our website

Matching Common Application and Naviance Student
The student’s Naviance Student Account and Common App account must be “MATCHED” so that they are electronically linked. Without this matching, counselors are unable to send any materials for Common App schools. To Match Accounts
22
A student will be unable to match accounts until the FERPA waiver has been completed on the Common App.
23
STANDARDIZED TESTING All Standardized Test Scores ( SAT, SAT Subject Tests, AP Tests, ACT) must be sent directly to the College/University from the TESTING AGENCY! THS DOES NOT SEND SCORES!! Keep this in mind for meeting deadlines and when budgeting for fees. If applying TEST OPTIONAL, do NOT have test scores sent. There is a lot of variation now in what is required. Truly test optional, test optional only with a particular gpa, etc…..
