Your resume is one component of your brand
Your resume should quickly and clearly tell who you are and what you can do Rule of thumb: single page Most managers decide in seconds whether they want to talk to you Describe accomplishments, not responsibilities What you’ve done – quantify whenever possible, using action words Saved company $200,000 by creating/fixing/changing… Launched new product that brought in $500,000 in sales in the first year Implemented new software that reduced processing time by 30% Customize for the specific position you’re applying for Have a few templates on hand that can be edited as needed Use keywords – humans and computers screen for these Important terminology used in job description Industry jargon/terminology Syndee Feuer, Career Tactics

Your resume (cont.) Be sure date ranges are correct and don’t overlap. Cover Letters Always include a cover letter with your resume to:
