3. Federal Programs Title I-A Title I-D Title II Title III Title I-A T
Title I, Part A -(Title I) of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act, as amended (ESEA) provides financial assistance to local educational agencies (LEAs) and schools with high numbers or high percentages of children from low-income families to help ensure that all children meet challenging state academic standards. Federal funds are currently allocated through four statutory formulas that are based primarily on census poverty estimates and the cost of education in each state.
Title I-D To provide educational services for students who are in local and state institutions for neglected and delinquent youth
To provide transitional services to help N/D students return to society

11. S.M.A.R.T. Goals
ESSA requires that the federal grant have measures that are reported to TEA with closing of the grant each year to ensure that the CIP goals and strategies developed through the CNA were measured appropriately. TEA suggested 3-5 goals be developed.
Board/Superintendent Priority Goal #3: To Increase academic success of students within the Performance Based Monitoring Analysis System (PBMAS) subgroups - Bilingual/English as a Second Language, Career and Technology, NCLB (Title I), and Special Education.
90% of all students K-3 make a year’s growth in reading as measured by the DRA
80% of Economically Disadvantaged students will be enrolled in at least 1 Pre-AP Class
Passing rate of 8th grade reading scores for Economically Disadvantaged is increased to 90%
