GORE™ RT7100 Glove Barrier Fabric Best in its category
In the fire industry, GORE’s expertise in barrier technologies is well recognized. Now GORE is introducing its new GORE™ RT7100 glove barrier fabric, designed for manually cut, sewn, and sealed components. GORE™ RT7100 glove barrier fabric is compliant to NFPA 1971 requirements as an alternative to polyurethane barriers. Its key technology feature, thermal stability, results in a product that will not melt or degrade as typical polyurethane or polyamide-based moisture barriers are prone to do. The GORE™ RT7100 glove barrier fabric provides thermal stability, product integrity, and the reputation of the world leader in barrier technologies behind it.

OUTER SHELLS Pigskin Cowhide Kevlar (glove back) Elkskin
Some leathers, including split elkhide, are very soft and supple but may not wear or last as long as other tight fiber, more abrasion resistant leathers. Life expectancy of any leather will vary. OUTER SHELLS Pigskin Cowhide Kevlar (glove back) Elkskin DURABILITY SCALE 5X more durable than Elkskin. Often more stiff than other leathers when new. 3X more durable than Elkskin. PROTECTIVE GLOVE BARRIERS
Shelby FDP System with GORE™ RT7100 Glove Barrier Fabric (Not an Insert) Polyurethane-Based Inserts Inserts are oversized and fit 6 to 8 sizes of gloves. Non Breathable 200° F Glued in at Finger Tips One piece laminated cut, sewn and sealed barrier/thermal liner available in 8 sizes to fit 8 glove sizes. Breathable Stitched in at Finger Tips
9
BARRIER ATTACHMENT METHODS (at Finger Tips)
No gluing means no liner pullout! Polyurethane-Based Inserts Thermal liner is glued inside of insert. Insert is stitched to the glove’s outer shell at finger tips. Microclimates will be generated in a non-breathable insert creating moist, clammy uncomfortable hands and the opportunity for steam entrapment. Seal Stitching Tab Heat Glue The Shelby FDP Barrier/Thermal Liner is stitched in at the finger tips of the glove’s outer shell. Moisture vapor escapes freely through breathable barrier allowing more comfort and less heat stress on the hands. Shelby FDP System with GORE™ RT7100 Glove Barrier Fabric Stitching Tab Sealed Seam Do you have Fingertip Dysfunction? DYSFUNCTION FACTOR DYSFUNCTION FACTOR Shelby’s FDP System Attachment Method: Shortens finger point of contact Reduces clumsiness Improves fit, handling and protection Fingertip Dysfunction = Sloppiness or clumsiness of the fingertips due to excess material.

INNOVATION+TECHNOLOGY
The Shelby FDP™ series of gloves are subjected to a 100% dunk test that is performed on every liner system. This ensures that the firefighter receives the greatest level of performance during a critical time of need. Shelby Glove produces the finest fit, with proven durability, to ensure unbeatable performance and protection for those who serve. The GORE™ RT7100 glove barrier fabric is uniquely suited to complement the highly engineered Shelby cut, sewn and sealed glove system. Its key technology feature, thermal stability, results in a product that will not melt or degrade as typical polyurethane or polyamide-based moisture barriers are prone to do. The Shelby FDP Barrier/Thermal Liner System has never experienced liner pullout.

SHELBY CARE AND MAINTENANCE Cleaning and Drying
Use Gloves only when thoroughly cleaned, dried and examined! Hand wash with a mild soap and water. DO NOT use chlorine bleach, a degreaser, hot water or the chemicals used to clean turnout clothing. Tumble dry in a cool dryer or shape the glove on a flat surface and air dry. DO NOT lay gloves on radiators, as this may cause the leather to become stiff. DO NOT put wet gloves into pockets where they cannot dry. Gloves may be brushed to remove surface dirt and revive the nap of the leather glove shell. Store gloves in a cool, dry place. DO NOT wear gloves that have not been thoroughly cleaned, and DO NOT wear gloves that have not dried thoroughly.

SHELBY CARE AND MAINTENANCE Inspection and Maintenance
All protective equipment should be inspected after each use. Possible areas of concern include: cut or worn sections, torn seams or broken threads which may allow seams to separate, torn or ravelled knit wristlets, or chemical contamination of the leather or liner which cannot be removed. Decontaminate or dispose of gloves in accordance with procedures set forth for the environment to which the glove has been exposed. Gloves that have been contaminated with fluids that are described in OSHA’s Bloodborne Pathogens Rules should be bagged and disposed of in accordance with Local, State and Federal Standards. For additional information, please refer to NFPA 1851. Damaged gloves should be removed from Service. No protective glove can provide complete protection from all conditions. Use extreme care for all emergency operations. Failure to comply with these instructions may result in serious injury.

THE SHELBY GUARANTEE Shelby Specialty Gloves takes pride in the manufacture of our products. We would rather explain the price of our Shelby FDP Gloves than be forced to explain the quality. If you receive a glove that does not perform to reasonable acceptable standards, please notify your Shelby Distributor or our office. If the substandard performance is due to a manufacturing defect, we will replace the glove or gloves. We do ask that the defective product be returned to Shelby for evaluation by our Quality Control Department. Some leathers, including split elkhide, are very soft and supple but may not wear or last as long as other tight fiber, more abrasion resistant leathers. Life expectancy of any leather will vary. We feel that you will be completely satisfied with our products. Please call us with any questions or comments. Shelby Specialty Gloves 3035 Centre Oak Way, Suite 102, Germantown, TN USA
