Live Streaming Sessions

Company Setup Company Setup:
Login with your admin userid and password created during the registration step. Company Setup Login with your newly setup admin userid. In our example User: TigerCat Password: tigercat In the previous registration step you created a user and password. Enter the userid and password created in previous step.

Here is where you see how much time you have left. Assign Viewers Viewers can be assigned to the session here or when the session is created (This is in addition to when the session is created ) Setup View Groups Create viewer groups. User Control: Edit User:
User Name: The drop down will display all existing users/writers available for editing maintaining. The admin user that you setup during registration will be in the drop down list. Add User: Add new users here: User Name: User ID Real Name: Name of the person Person’s Password: Password for the user Profile: See below You can enter as many users as you want. Just start typing in the fields to the left and then hit the “Add” button when you have completed filling in the fields. Profile: Represents the different kinds of users and their permissions. In the dropdown you will see: Admin Has Full Access Writer When you select writer you will get more permissions to choose from. Check all that apply. Assign Viewers Can assign viewers to their own sessions Create Viewers Can create new viewers Setup Sessions Can create and manage their own sessions (Start, Stop & Cancel) Limited Writer Can only start and stop their own sessions already scheduled.

Session Presets Used for default values when creating sessions.
Preset Name: Name the preset. Normally clients or students want their sessions done a certain way. So name them accordingly. Default: Check the check box to set this preset as the default. The default preset is used when no preset is selected when a new session is created. Event URL Name: Some clients want the same URL for all events. Name it here. The static link is displayed below. Time Offset: Used when importing schedules into 1CapApp. Subtract this amount of time from the scheduled start time. So if the Scheduled start = 10:00 AM 1Capapp session start = 9:50 Send Transcript Copy To: Send session transcripts to the listed id’s separated by a comma. These are in addition to the listed viewers. Chat: Control how the chat will work in the session. Pagination for Event: Control if line numbers will be displayed and how many lines. Type: The Company Tiger CAT LLC and their clients will have a web page they can go to for viewing sessions: Sessions will be viewable depending on the Type of session. The different types of sessions are explained below: Private: Needs Userid & Password to view session. So the session is viewable only after the viewer logs in with userid and password. Public: The session is viewable by anyone going to the web page . No need to log in. Limited: The session is viewable to anyone who has logged in. Viewers do not have to be assigned to the session. Hidden: Hidden is like public not requiring a password, but the session will not be listed on the company viewer dashboard. It will only be accessible with a special link you can get by clicking on “Share & Embed” from the “Actions” button in “Setup Sessions menu. So save the session and then go back to “Setup Sessions” and click the Actions button and select “Share & Embed”. You will be given a pop up screen that will allow you to have more control over how the viewer page will look. Continued on the next page

Session Presets Continued
Enable Recurring: Allows you to create a recurring session. When check box is selected, options for how you want the recurring to work is displayed. Chat Log Enable or Disable the ability to receive an of the Chat log. Notes: Enable or Disable the use of the Notes box on the viewer page. Disable Copy/Paste/ Function: This will disable the ability to do anything with the transcript. The transcript will not be ed and it cannot be copied with a copy and paste function. Disable Reminder This will disable an that gets sent out as a reminder prior to the event. SAVE: Click Save when complete and the preset will be saved. Delete: After a preset has been saved, it can be selected for and deleted here.

Create Viewers These users who can view the sessions.
Search gives you the ability to quickly locate a viewer. Enter any part of the user name or real name and the viewer will display in the list below that satisfy the criteria. Groups give you the ability to display the users of a group. Click the Edit button to edit an existing Viewer Enter a new viewer user id, password, real name and and press Save to create a new viewer. The Notes box is for additional information about this viewer you might want to remember and make available to the writer.

Setup Sessions The top part of the screen shows the sessions scheduled for the rest of the day by default. Ways to display sessions: Group by Writer: Provides a quick way to see when a writer is available. Calendar View: Provides a way to see more than just today’s scheduled events Bulk Actions: The check box at the right of each session can be checked and bulk actions can be performed on each checked row. Currently only Cancel is available in Bulk Actions. CSV Import: A CSV file of sessions can be mass created using the import function. A Template is available that describes each filed that is required. This can be a real time saver. Call support for help with this function. Presets: A preset is a group of default settings that can be saved for different kinds of clients who require their sessions to be created a special way. A default preset is crated at registration time that contains the most common session settings. Create presets for each kind of session in order to save time when creating sessions. Also, presets can be used for static links. The optional Event URL Name will provide a client with a static link for all of their sessions. Name: Make up a name for the session ex: Paul-Chemistrty Event URL Name: Name of Status URL. Only input the part that identifies it. Ex: Bob-Client Date: Date of the session / event Time: Time of the session / event Writer: Captioner/writer writing the event. Select from drop down. Must have already create the writer as a user. Time Zone: Select the Time Zone from drop down list. Most often this is the time zone of the Captioning Company scheduling the event. Just be consistent. Type: Select the Type of the event from the drop down list. Types are explained in the preset section. Chat: Select the desired chat behavior Send Transcript Copy To: Input additional s you want the session transcript to be delivered to. Separated by a comma. Chat Log Enable or Disable ing of the chat log Notes: Enable or Disable the note taking in the session Disable Copy/Paste/ Function: Disable the ability to copy and paste the transcript and auto ing of transcript Recurring Event: When you check recurring event, more options are displayed on the screen to define the recurring event. Each recurring type (Daily, Weekly, Monthly & Yearly) causes the display to change for what is required for each type. Daily: Recurs every # of days or every weekday Weekly: Recurs every # weeks on selected days of the week Monthly: Recurs every # months on a numeric date or day of week Yearly: Recurs every year on the defined date. Disable Reminder If checked. the automatic reminder will not be sent out to the client and the captioner. Pagination for Event: Select either disable line number is the streaming text, or select the number of lines per page desired. Viewers: Assign viewers to the session by either choosing a group or individual viewers from the drop down lists. Viewers will need to have already been created before you can assign them here. This is done in Create Viewers. Groups can be created after the viewers have been crated by assigning individual viewers to groups in the Create Groups section. Save: Click the “Save” button to save the session. Delete: Once a session is created, it can be deleted by clicking the “Delete Session” button when the session is being edited.
