Scholarships at CUNY: Recipient Selection Process
Development/Advancement provides list of scholarships, criteria, and budget for the upcoming AY. Nominees identified via committees, departments, Admissions, etc. Scholarship Office reviews budget and updates website, application, and other materials, to solicit applications Lists of New and Continuing Scholarship Recipients Issued Financial Aid Office – Reviews Scholarship Recipient List and checks for over packaging Applicant Solicitation Scholarship Office confirms applicant eligibility Revised lists of recipients issued Julissa

Scholarship Office initiates awarding Awards posted in CUNYfirst as “anticipated aid” either manually or batch CRM ticket Scholarship Office notifies recipient(s) Check request(s) sent to Foundation/Business Offices Scholarship Office requests transfer of funds Funds are released for payment Sasha
