1. Braille Bibles Service Unit Project
Service project for older girls CSA’s (Cadettes/Seniors/Ambassadors)
Purpose: Make Braille Bibles for shipments to over 120 countries around the globe supporting Braille Schools and individuals with impaired vision.
What will the girls do? Girl Scouts will learn the process of preparing the paper, using Braille templates and printing press, quality proof books, learn packaging and shipping process to avoid damage to the Braille impressions.
How Many Girls to sign up for each session? Maximum per session, 12 girls. Trained Girl Scouts will be available to provide instructions.
How to sign up? Send e:mail to Slots per session will be available. The number of slots open per date will be managed on the MOGSU.org “Community Service” site where you can see how many slots are open/filled. Girls names will not be listed, only the number of slots available to fill. Since we have 12 slots per session, if you are signed up multiple times, you will be asked to give up your slot until all girls have had an opportunity to work.
