2 Mapping Look over the map of your college planning and budgeting process that you made in the General Session. Where are the gaps in your process--SLO assessment, program review? Note the places where something more is needed

3 Translating your Map Explain your map, your process and your gaps to someone else.

4 Brainstorm Challenges and Solutions
Discuss the challenges that your college faces in this process with a partner. For each challenge that you identify, brainstorm a solution. Present your challenges and solutions to the entire group

5 Examining the Standards
Choose one of the following three quotations from the standards and begin explaining your college’s process Yes, you are actually practicing how to write an accreditation report!

B. Improving Institutional Effectiveness …. 3. The institution assesses progress toward achieving its stated goals and makes decisions regarding the improvement of institutional effectiveness in an ongoing and systematic cycle of evaluation, integrated planning, resource allocation, implementation, and re- evaluation. Evaluation is basedon analyses of both quantitative and qualitative data.

After hearing the challenges and solutions that were presented, look at the action plan you developed in the General Session. What more do you need to do? What is the first thing that you will do when you get home?
