The Second Coming of Jesus! (Revelation 19:11-21)
4
John 14:1-3 1 “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. 2 My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.

The Rider on the White Horse
vs The Rider on the White Horse “He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood”- This time it is not the blood of sacrifice; it is a reference to Isaiah 63:1-6
6
Isaiah 63:1-4 1 Who is this coming from Edom, from Bozrah, with his garments stained crimson? Who is this, robed in splendor, striding forward in the greatness of his strength? “It is I, proclaiming victory, mighty to save.” 2 Why are your garments red, like those of one treading the winepress? 3 “I have trodden the winepress alone; from the nations no one was with me. I trampled them in my anger and trod them down in my wrath; their blood spattered my garments, and I stained all my clothing. 4 It was for me the day of vengeance; the year for me to redeem had come.”

The Rider on the White Horse
vs The Rider on the White Horse Notice the weapon that He uses: the word of His mouth He now fully reveals Himself: King of kings and Lord of lords and really does so by means of the destruction of the beast and the false prophet

John now introduces a second supper
vs Armageddon John now introduces a second supper It is a picture of the final battle The description makes it clear it is the battle prophesied in Eze 38-39 The Lord commanded Ezekiel to issue a supper invitation

vs Complete Victory! 2 Thessalonians 2:7-9 (NLT) 7 For this lawlessness is already at work secretly, and it will remain secret until the one who is holding it back steps out of the way. 8 Then the man of lawlessness will be revealed, but the Lord Jesus will slay him with the breath of his mouth and destroy him by the splendor of his coming. 9 This man will come to do the work of Satan with counterfeit power and signs and miracles.

The Second Coming of Jesus!
We believe in the blessed hope of the literal and imminent return of the Lord. Jesus Christ will come again to the earth—personally, visibly, and bodily—to consummate history and the eternal plan of God.
12
1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 16 For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever.
13
Revelation 1:7-8 7 “Look, he is coming with the clouds,” and “every eye will see him, even those who pierced him”; and all peoples on earth “will mourn because of him.” So shall it be! Amen. 8 “I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.”
14
Matthew 24:36-44 36 “But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. 37 As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. 38 For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; 39 and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man.
15
Matthew 24:36-44 40 Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left. 41 Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left. There is a strong emphasis on judgment at the time of Jesus' return. This is seen in the separation of the saved from the lost

Keep watch, BE READY! Matthew 24:36-44
42 “Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come. 43 But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into. 44 So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him. Keep watch, BE READY!
