Lucian Freud (December 8, 1922 - July 20, 2011)
Born to an artistic, Jewish family in Berlin, Germany. Later fled to London, England to escape Hitler Despite his rebellious childhood, Freud began exhibiting his artwork at a very early age Began his serious training after enrolling in the East Anglican School of Painting and Drawing Married Kitty Garman; marriage was destroyed due to his unfaithfulness Developed a personality as well as habits that carried throughout his career

Artistic Approach Portraiture became his main subject of his work
Expressionism and Realism Known for being able to capture and focus on human figure and face, whilst depicting their physical ugliness Artwork later paved towards figurative paintings and nudes Artistic approach constantly evolved every decade of his career
