Welcome to the 2018 Australasian Branch Training Seminar J.D. Hough 2017/2018 IAATI President

2 International Association of Auto Theft Investigators
The International Association of Auto Theft Investigators (IAATI) was formed in 1952 in order to improve communication and coordination among the growing family of professional auto theft investigators. Over 3500 members Representing over 71 countries

3 IAATI GOAL Our most effective weapon to combat the crime of auto theft is cooperation. IAATI has actively pursued this by providing its members with an unsurpassed array of experience, training and resources in areas such as technical developments, trends, intelligence information and investigative assistance. Through IAATI we are able to pool our resources in order to achieve our common interests, and better serve our communities. IAATI is dedicated to developing and encouraging the highest professional standards of conduct among auto theft investigators, and strives to eliminate all factors interfering with the administration of the auto theft suppression effort.

IAATI currently comprises of five Branches covering - Europe, UK, Southern Africa, Latin America and Australasia - along with five North American Chapters covering both the USA and Canada.

NETWORKING APB – Magazine AUTO THEFT TODAY- Electronic Publication TRAINING, SEMINARS, CONFERENCES CERTIFICATION MEMEBERS ONLINE DATABASE In addition to the various training opportunities and membership identification items, each member receives access to IAATI’s worldwide membership database, where he (or she) will be able to obtain information and assistance on virtually any auto theft related problem. In addition each member receives our quarterly news magazine, the APB, which contains updates on vehicle theft issues, current court decisions pertaining to auto theft and upcoming training information.
