Subject pronouns are used in place of names. However, they are used MUCH LESS frequently in Spanish.

Anything + yo = nosotros Anything + tú = ustedes/vosotros Anything + Ud. = ustedes

When we do use subject pronouns in Spanish, they usually come before the verb that they agree with. ejemplo: Él es…

Often in questions we put the subject AFTER the verb: ¿Cómo es él?

Ser = To be Soy = I am Only possible subject = yo.
“Yo” only used for emphasis.

We use SER when describing someone’s personality or giving a physical description.
