2. MISSION OF THE MINISITRY OF EDUCATION
To transform the Rwandan citizen into skilled human capital for socio-economic development of the country by ensuring equitable access to quality education focusing on combating illiteracy, promotion of science and technology, critical thinking and positive values.

Strengthened CPD and management of teachers across all levels of education in Rwanda.

All learners achieve basic levels of literacy and numeracy in early grades and beyond.
All learners enter primary school at the correct age and successfully complete 12 years of basic education.
TVET and HEI programmes are responsive to both labour market needs and Rwanda’s social and economic development.
