14 Annual Plan (all units) For planning, only fill in the top half
of the form. Link your unit plan to the UWF Strategic Plan Pursue Grants This plan links to UWF Strategic Direction 3.4 “Optimize internal and external support to promote teaching and learning activities, service, research, strategic innovation and other scholarly works.” You may go back and edit if you choose. It’s a Google Doc – no need to hit save. Cynthia Catellier x 2239

15 Ideas for Annual Plan Link your plan to the UWF Strategic Plan UWF.edu/about/ If you have a Program Review or Audit coming up, plan for it. If you have a completed Program Review or Audit with recommendations, plan to implement one or two. If you have a Disciplinary Accreditation coming up, plan for it. If you have a completed Disciplinary Accreditation with recommendations, plan to implement one or two. Make your plan actionable & measurable, it is not a vision statement. Cynthia Catellier x 2239

16 Annual Report (all units)
Find your unit in the left hand navigation bar, click, & open the Annual Report document Cynthia Catellier x 2239

17 Annual Report (all units)
The Annual Plan (submitted September 30) becomes your next year’s Annual Report. For reporting, complete the bottom half of the form. Remember to Close the Loop by completing both sections. Cynthia Catellier x 2239

18 Completed Annual Report (all units)
It’s a Google Doc – no need to hit save. Please refrain from answering N/A for Decisions/Changes Cynthia Catellier x 2239

19 What if . . . ? There is no Plan from last year upon which to report!
You must have done something last year. Report on it as best as you can. Your unit has a new name? Type in the new name next to the old name. Be sure to keep both so a historical record can be maintained/demonstrated. Your unit has been disbanded? Put that in the Report. Outcome – Unit has been disbanded Decisions made - discontinue operations of this unit Cynthia Catellier x 2239

20 To view prior year’s Reports
Reports are stored on the Google site. New department heads can view the unit’s Reporting history. The Reports are accessible for Program Review or other reporting needs. Cynthia Catellier x 2239

21 Tips for getting this done
Start the process early in the spring semester Download blank templates (or ask ASPIRE to send you Word docs) for Community Engagement Activities and for Distinctive & Notable Accomplishments. Send these to each member of your department Incorporate data from the completed forms into the annual evaluation process Cut and paste data to the forms from CVs submitted Ask for input from your department before they leave for summer vacation Use what you are already doing, such as Program Review or Disciplinary Accreditation Don’t over complicate it Don’t worry if you do not complete your plan. Simply report that the plan is underway and report what you learned from implementing the plan over the last year –close the loop Go ahead and make multi-year goals, just be sure report on your progress each year – close the loop Cynthia Catellier x 2239

22 Some examples of how this information is used:
Contrary to urban legend, the information is beneficial, needed, & used! The information sent by departments goes to: UWF Library, Florida Board of Governors, Carnegie Foundation, SACSCOC, Grant Submissions, Program Reviews . . .
