Aims - To enhance students’ understanding of the careers they are interested in - To equip students with the essential skills for future careers - To provide opportunities for students to practise in real- world environments - To expand job opportunities for students - To provide a platform for recruiters to connect and interact with targeted students

Eligibility of Applicant:
Duration: A minimum of 8 weeks from June to August Eligibility of Applicant: For Year 2 and 3 Chemistry major student Financial Aid: Subsidiary from recruiter is optional. Subsidiary from the Department of Chemistry is possible if deemed appropriate.

Schedule: Dec 2017 – Jan 2018 Contact of Recruiters and Confirmation of Openings Feb 2018 Briefing to Students by Internship Providers if Available Mar Submitting Applications Mar – April Interviews by the Internship Providers Apr Confirmation of Internship Offers

Obligation of Student Intern:
- Submitting a written report summarizing his/her working experience to the Department - Submitting a writing to the Newsletter of the Department for sharing his/her experience - Sharing his/her experience in future promotion events Evaluation by recruiters: Recruiters are invited to submit a brief evaluation of the performance of student interns and the outcomes of this programme.

Job Description: - To carry out testing in the laboratory/field as assigned and prepare preliminary report for checking - To take care laboratory/field equipment/vehicle and to perform regular maintenance and calibration of testing equipment in laboratory/field To carry out house-keeping task of the laboratory/field and the vehicle To be responsible for other duties as assigned by supervisory staff To observe the safety requirements and responsibilities as documented in the management manual and associated documentation Number of Positions: 4 Preference of Student Background: Year 2 or 3

Application Procedure
Download the application form from the Department Homepage Completed application form must be submitted to Chemistry Department General Office (G59) on or by March 12, 2018 with the following two attachments: Your CV (of not more than 3 pages) A copy of your transcript Each student is only allowed to submit one application for the chemistry-related industry and one application for the education internship.
